Health and safety

Your child’s health and safety is our number one priority. All our procedures are designed to ensure they are looked after while in our care. Please advise us if there is anything we need to know that will improve our care of your child.

Written consent is required before any medication can be administered. Forms can be obtained from centre staff. All medication must be stored out of reach of children. Please hand it to a staff member so it can be stored appropriately. All medication must be clearly labelled — medication that is not labelled or has expired will not be administered.

If your child becomes unwell while at the centre, staff will contact you to come to collect your child. If you are unavailable, we will contact the emergency contact on your enrolment form. For the protection of well children and staff, we ask that you please do not bring your child to the centre if he or she is unwell. This includes all infections conditions, such as diarrhoea, vomiting, conjunctivitis, measles, chicken pox, impetigo, ringworm etc. Children should be excluded from care until the infectious period is over and a doctor’s certificate is provided.
